Don’t be bummed, there is a way to get the most from your lip color — According to an article on elle.com, the natural color of your lips tends to cancel out the lipstick color. Not to worry, you can help prevent that by using foundation on your lips first, then the lip color.

The CFDA is composed of over 300 of America’s premier accessory and fashion designers. This organization is dedicated to the continued growth and development of fashion as an art and culture. Nourishing newcomers to the field is another way the CFDA promotes the advancement of the fashion industry. During the June 15 Awards gala, underwritten by Swarovski, First Lady Michelle Obama will be honored with the Board of Directors’ Special Tribute. What an honor!
Some of the designers she has been known to wear have been nominated for awards as well. She definitely has an eye for wonderful designs. Kate and Laura Mulleavy for Rodarte, Marc Jacobs and Narciso Rodriguez were nominated for Womenswear Designer of the year. Alexander Wang, Thakoon Panichgul and Jason Wu were nominated for the Swarovski Award for Womenswear. The winner of this award is blessed with receiving bountiful financial support from Swarovski. I think they all looked wonderful whether I liked the dress or not. I enjoy looking at the dresses to see what great ideas the designers came up with each year, but I do think everyone makes too big a deal about it all. There are designers out there that work VERY hard immediately after the Oscars (or any big celeb event) just to make the “knock off” dresses. Those dresses are wonderfully done as well and not cheap by any means. If you are lucky enough to get one of those….You Go Girl! This is my pick for the best dress–
