That’s right!  Great News for all of you Prom bound ladies out there. 

I’m sure you’re already looking for that perfect prom dress, hand bag, shoes, etc.  It’s all very exciting and fun, although it can get pretty expensive.  That is where the great news comes in. 

If you are a high school senior in San Benito, Harlingen, Rio Hondo, La Feria, Santa Rosa or South Texas ISD, you could benefit from a program called Pretty at Prom.  Donations are being accepted for new or gently used formal gowns, shoes, accessories, restaurant gift certificates, beauty professionals for hair & makeup and limo services. 

This is the 3rd annual Pretty at Prom and I think it is a wonderful thing.  There will be a lot of happy young women that might not have been able to attend their prom.

If you would like to make a donation, the drop off points are:

Harlingen Area Teachers’ Credit Union - 345 N. Williams, San Benito; 2910 E. Grimes, Harlingen; 4321 W. Expressway 83, Harlingen

Valley Morning Star - 1310 S. Commerce, Harlingen

*Donation Deadline - March 21, 2008

Pretty at Prom will be held Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 1pm - 4pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (Parish Hall) in Harlingen.
