During the June 15 Awards gala, underwritten by Swarovski, First Lady Michelle Obama will be honored with the Board of Directors’ Special Tribute. What an honor!
Some of the designers she has been known to wear have been nominated for awards as well. She definitely has an eye for wonderful designs.
Kate and Laura Mulleavy for Rodarte, Marc Jacobs and Narciso Rodriguez were nominated for Womenswear Designer of the year. Alexander Wang, Thakoon Panichgul and Jason Wu were nominated for the Swarovski Award for Womenswear. The winner of this award is blessed with receiving bountiful financial support from Swarovski.
