It’s dress up time!
There aren’t many opportunities for most people to dress up. I’m not talking about putting on your favorite jeans with a nice blouse and going out on the weekend dress up…I’m talking going shopping for a dress to wear and getting the hair and nails done kind of dress up. With the Holidays in full swing comes the office Christmas party, family Holiday party, New Years Eve parties and any other parties we can think of to have a little fun. The first question that comes to mind with preparing for one of the parties is….
What do I wear?
You want to look good and classy at the same time. It’s easy to go too far by showing too much at that office or family party.

Ladie, I suggest you save these dresses for clubbing.
If you want to dress to impress try something more like this.

Have fun at those
Holiday parties and be safe out there!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I’m lovin’ ballet flats! To be frank, I didn’t think the style would last this long but I’m glad it has.
There are lots of different styles and colors available which makes them very fun and versatile. You can use them with jeans, slacks, dresses or skirts.
Check these out….

Each pair has it’s own unique look and they all look great to me. For yourself or as a gift these are a winner.

A young new designer named Anastasia Lomonova has blessed us with a wonderfully done dress.
Femme Fatale
It is very simple and very extravegant at the same time. There are two essential elements to this dress, that would not work well without eachother.
The pleats throughout the entire dress would be boxy without the soft silk bows at the shoulders and the complimentary belt. The bows would be floppy and bulky with out the pleats. Together they make a simple, elegant and absolutely beautiful dress.
The versitility of this dress is an added bonus. It is light and flowing enough for a brunch with some friends or add some accessories, then the detail and silky material lend to an evening dress as well.
Anastasia Lomonova moved to Canada from Russia at the age of 17. She studied fashion design at Toronto’s University Ryerson. She released her first collection in April 2007. This is only her second collection and she is definitely one to watch.
If you like her style and can’t make it to Montreal, go to paper-doll.com for a few of her available pieces.

That’s right…..
Sweater Dresses.
Rampage has some smart and fresh sweater dresses available right now.
This grey dress with cowl neck and pleated front is gorgeous. The soft material and beautiful detail make this dress a must have.
How about this red turtleneck dress with banded bottom hem? Red Hot!
To take a walk on the casual side, check out this stylish weave pattern dress. Those buttons, the cap sleaves and even a pocket on the bottom. Sweet!
These dresses would also look great with a pair of jeans, slacks or tights.
Oh the possibilities.
There are plenty of styles and colors to choose from….
So….

Six beautiful dresses have been made in honor of actress Grace Kelly. Designers were asked to create a modern version of looks she has elegantly worn.
Each dress will be auctioned to benefit fellowships and scholorships for dance and theater.

A wonderful thing about fashion is how it helps express how you’re feeling.
You may wake up tomorrow morning and feel like wearing a nice dress. The next day you may feel like wearing jeans and a T-shirt. Sometimes you may even feel like wearing sweats. Maybe some skulls with bows sound good to you. You may even pick out what you want to wear the night before and change your mind because you don’t feel like it that day.
So when you’re standing infront of your closet wondering what to wear and you find yourself asking “What do I feel like today?”….
Smile, embrace it and try something new. Mix and match some outfits and don’t forget to add some accessories for some extra flare. You just may find you have a bit more bounce in your step.
