With the beautiful rain we received today comes more fashion opportunities and lots of fun!

How about some awesome bright rainboots and even brighter umbrella?

Aren’t they AWESOME! You could pair these with jeans and a shirt or be a bit more bold and match them with a cute skirt or dress.

This dress would do a GREAT job! The blue in the dress would bring out that color in the rainboots and keep the bright yellow umbrella calm. Stylin’ and lots of fun!

Fur

I know the Valley doesn’t have enough cold weather to really warrant a fur coat, faux or real, but I love them and think they are a lot of fun. They are the kind of coat that get you so happy when it’s finally cold enough to wear.

You can have fun and be daring with the chunky style and a bold skirt to match. Or emit elagance in the more smooth shiny style with an evening dress.

You could possibly find one at a great price since spring is right around the corner and so is spring fashion. If you happen to see one that catches your eye, I don’t think it would be a bad idea to buy that fashion fun and save it for a cold day.

Change It Up

When it comes to fashion, a lot of people tend to stick to the same “theme” of clothing. Your style may be considered preppy, country, punk, etc. Well, don’t let those stereotypes keep you from expanding your wardrobe repertoire. If you are out shopping and you see an awesome skirt that looks a little punky, but you normally dress “preppy” don’t let that stop you. I say get that punky skirt and have fun! Fashion is like music in this respect. You can like all kinds of music so why not all kinds of clothes?

Ballet Flats

I’m lovin’ ballet flats! To be frank, I didn’t think the style would last this long but I’m glad it has.

There are lots of different styles and colors available which makes them very fun and versatile. You can use them with jeans, slacks, dresses or skirts.

Warm and Unique

While you’re out shopping for a new coat this season, you may want to keep an eye out for something like these designs from Free People Clothing Boutique.

Playing Dress Up

It’s amazing what designers can do when encouraged to play with fashion.

Today during China Fashion Week in Beijing, designers displayed their brilliant creativity and impressive skill for the Colorful Cosmetic Design Contest.

Take a look….

It’s refreshing to see the fashion industry supporting play. This can lead to an inspiration that brings the next “Hot” fashion.

It reminds me of when I would play dress up as a child. Too much makeup and a big fluffy boa. There’s not as much skill in sneaking in Mom’s closet, so it’s nice to see grown up skill engaged in grown up play. I hope to see more of these encouraging contests.

I’m inspired to head to my closet.

Chilly

What Do I Feel Like Today?

A wonderful thing about fashion is how it helps express how you’re feeling.

You may wake up tomorrow morning and feel like wearing a nice dress. The next day you may feel like wearing jeans and a T-shirt. Sometimes you may even feel like wearing sweats. Maybe some skulls with bows sound good to you. You may even pick out what you want to wear the night before and change your mind because you don’t feel like it that day.

So when you’re standing infront of your closet wondering what to wear and you find yourself asking “What do I feel like today?”….

Smile, embrace it and try something new. Mix and match some outfits and don’t forget to add some accessories for some extra flare. You just may find you have a bit more bounce in your step.
