Jeans With Bling

November 5th, 2008, 4:24 pm by Carrie Welch

I’m loving the Jeans With Bling that are in stores everywhere right now!  They are so much fun.  It’s like you have an accessory built in to your jeans!

Check these out from Newport-News.com—-

Now that’s Bling!  I LOVE big bling on these jeans.  Just be careful what top you wear with them.  If you wear a top with print, it will be too busy to be a good look.  Take example from the picture, pick a color from the Bling and go with a top in that color.

Gotta Love that Bling!

What’s Your Take?

August 29th, 2008, 10:55 am by Carrie Welch

I usually LOVE the grace and style of Katie Holmes.  She has become a beautiful woman and mother…..although I have seen pictures of her recently on people.com bringing back a look I’m not sure I like this time around.

In the late 80’s there was a trend of folding the bottom of your jeans to the side and then rolling them up to be super tight around your ankles.  Back then I thought it was sooooo cool.  I’m not sure I feel the same way this time around.

I do like the rest of the components for the outfits.  I love the scarf and cute sweater tops and even the baggy jeans.  Just undo the rolled up pants.

What’s your take?

Hot Jeans

February 24th, 2008, 12:21 pm by Carrie Welch

While there are many brands of jeans available, it is difficult to find the “right” pair.  Well, these look pretty darn good to me!

Take a look at these GREAT jeans from grassjeans.com—-

I love the detail underneath the pocket!  How unique.

Check out the rainbow on the back pocket.  Just adorable!

These jeans are a little pricey, although I’m betting they are worth it.  Celebs seem to think so—-

I don’t know about you, but I’m saving up for a pair!

Ballet Flats

November 28th, 2007, 6:46 pm by Carrie Welch

I’m lovin’ ballet flats!  To be frank, I didn’t think the style would last this long but I’m glad it has.

There are lots of different styles and colors available which makes them very fun and versatile.  You can use them with jeans, slacks, dresses or skirts.

Check these out….

Sweater Dresses

November 5th, 2007, 6:18 pm by Carrie Welch

That’s right…..

Sweater Dresses.

Rampage has some smart and fresh sweater dresses available right now.

This grey dress with cowl neck and pleated front is gorgeous.  The soft material and beautiful detail make this dress a must have.

How about this red turtleneck dress with banded bottom hem?  Red Hot!

To take a walk on the casual side, check out this stylish weave pattern dress.  Those buttons, the cap sleaves and even a pocket on the bottom.  Sweet!

These dresses would also look great with a pair of jeans, slacks or tights.

Oh the possibilities.

There are plenty of styles and colors to choose from….

Charming

October 22nd, 2007, 5:39 pm by Carrie Welch

I am seeing an amazing sort of charming necklaces available right now and I’m loving it!

For instance, this charm necklace would be a beautiful soft touch to a lace blouse and skirt or a t-shirt and some jeans.

This nautical charm necklace added to a pair of cuff crop jeans and a scoop neck top make for a very stylin’ look.

Even earings are adding a little charm to thier style.

How about this antique looking necklace?  I picture it with a chiffon blouse that has a lightly ruffled collar and sleeves with a slim cut pair of jeans and some ankle boots.  Hot!

Shoe Fix

October 18th, 2007, 9:12 pm by Carrie Welch

Purchasing a new pair of shoes is one of my favorite things to do.  There are a lot of smart looking shoes to pick from this fall.

I really enjoy the ballet flats look.  These tweed flats would be great with a pair of jeans or a nice pair of slacks.

If you want to add some excitment to a plain suit, try these round toe pumps out.  The tuxedo look for pumps is hard to resist.

Can’t forget about the knee high boots.  This black stretch stiletto boot is a must have.  Add this pair of boots to your knee length skirt outfit and it will surely pop.

So many beautiful shoes…..so little time.

What Do I Feel Like Today?

October 17th, 2007, 9:03 pm by Carrie Welch

A wonderful thing about fashion is how it helps express how you’re feeling.

You may wake up tomorrow morning and feel like wearing a nice dress.  The next day you may feel like wearing jeans and a T-shirt.  Sometimes you may even feel like wearing sweats.  Maybe some skulls with bows sound good to you.  You may even pick out what you want to wear the night before and change your mind because you don’t feel like it that day.

So when you’re standing infront of your closet wondering what to wear and you find yourself  asking  “What do I feel like today?”….

Smile, embrace it and try something new.  Mix and match some outfits and don’t forget to add some accessories for some extra flare.  You just may find you have a bit more bounce in  your step.
